You might be surprised to learn that Nova Scotia's rich tradition of growing grapes for wine dates back over 400 years, making the Province one of the first areas to cultivate grapes in North America. Our distinctive climate, soil conditions and surrounding landscape, make for distinctive grape varietals, unique to the world. 

You're invited to share our passion for Nova Scotia wines by joining our Sommelier-guided tour of three Annapolis Valley wineries: Bent Ridge Winery, Gaspereau Vineyards & Planter's Ridge Winery. Travel by bus to & from Halifax, using one of our three convenient pick-up locations. You'll visit three very distinct wineries, enjoy lunch made with the freshest, local ingredients, and discover why Nova Scotia wines have received over 200 national and international awards.

About This Tour:

Fall is in the air and Halifax will once again be painted with Mother Nature's artistic brush in a vibrant palette of reds, yellows, oranges and gold. Join us in celebrating this wonderful season on one of our Fall Colours Tours aboard the Tall Ship Silva. This two-hour sail begins in the Halifax harbour, passes alongside Point Pleasant Park and into the Northwest Arm where the fall foliage will be particularly impressive during this time of year. We'll share notable commentary while you sip your complementary hot apple cider and enjoy the spectacular sights, all while cozying up with your 'bubble'. Whether you are a native Haligonian or visiting from within the Atlantic bubble, this tour is something that everyone should experience at least once in their life! Please dress for the season and feel free to bring your own warm blanket or you're welcome to use one of ours!

Our resident storyteller will share forgotten stories of lost shipwrecks and the ghosts of Georges Island, and will shed some light on those things that go 'bump' in the night. Warm up with a cozy blanket - bring your own or use one of ours, enjoy a complimentary hot apple cider and we'll do the rest. Event is 19+ with valid ID.

About This Tour:

A cruise aboard The Tall Ship Silva is the perfect way to fully appreciate a beautiful day on the Halifax Harbour. Join us on our comfortable and thoroughly impressive vessel for this relaxing afternoon outing on the water. Your journey beings on the Halifax waterfront as you set off into the big harbour where you’ll have a unique perspective of some of Halifax’s most notable landmarks including Georges Island, the Halifax Waterfront, Historic Properties, and more. Our guides will share anecdotes of some of the city’s rich history including accounts of Halifax Explosion, lesser-known stories of Halifax shipwrecks, and historical facts about the Silva. Passengers will be invited to help the crew hoist the Silva’s sails, enjoy a beverage or two from the onboard Murphy’s Pub, and then simply sit back, relax and enjoy a beautiful day out on the water.

During your cruise of the picturesque Halifax Harbour, learn more about Nova Scotia’s flourishing wine industry: the varietals, the terroir, the climate, the grape growing regions, the wine awards. Wine and food-lovers agree that Wines on the Water is Halifax’s must-attend culinary tour. Nova Scotia is home to some of the most craft breweries per capita than any other province in Canada, a distinction that’s led us to create the perfect East coast pairing - sailing and great beer! The Craft Beer Cruise is a fun, laid back tour that features some of the best Nova Scotian craft breweries and their latest creations. The tour includes highlights of the participating breweries, details of the brewing process and the tasting profiles that you’ll discover in each beer. We’re very proud to be highlighting some of the best of Nova Scotia’s craft beer on Nova Scotia’s most unique floating pub. The Craft Beer Cruise is open to those aged 19+ with valid, government issued ID.

During this unique, three-hour cruise and dining experience, you will travel through the Halifax harbour and along the scenic Northwest Arm to enjoy the sights, and flavours that best represent the city. On board guides will share a brief history of Halifax including stories of the Halifax Explosion and the origins of Point Pleasant Park. You’ll dine against picturesque, notable landmarks including the Dingle Tower, Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron, Georges Island and more.

Experience isn’t required to join us on this fun, Deep Sea Fishing tour aboard Alustasi - a desire for a truly authentic East Coast experience is all you’ll need to get hooked! Our experienced captains know exactly how to reach the very best fishing grounds, and when to move on to a new spot. With all gear onboard, including bait, rods and lures, you and your experienced and helpful crew are ready to set off in search of mackerel, cod, haddock, and Boston bluefish. Should guests want to keep their catch, they’ll be delighted to know that our team will clean, filet and pack it on ice to-go. During this three-hour journey, guests will appreciate stunning views of the coastline and the grandeur of the Atlantic Ocean so have your cameras ready. Our vessels are also fully licensed which means guests will be able to enjoy a cold beverage while trying to land the big one!
